My Saturday…or Working My Tail Off!

Hi…I was busy today. Here’s a few of the more interesting things I did or cleaned in the house. I’ll spare you the commodes, but I will tell you that they had their “fair share” of my time today.

I started cleaning in the kitchen. I started channeling being Amish today as they start cleaning from the top of the room down. At least, I’ve read that is how Amish clean. I started with my potrack.

I love my potrack. I spent an inordinate amount of time touching and shining the things that are on the potrack. I’m one of the Amish who really like to take their time cleaning.

Potrack

I especially love this potrack with no dust on it. Here’s another view of the squeaky clean potrack.

I have had a lot of potracks in various homes, but this is my favorite. It looks good and it’s very useful. Most of those items see some work time, too.

This pot’s purpose on the rack is to hide Little Debbie snacks for when Mike and I are desperate for a treat. This is the pot of last resort. Sometimes, there is only a piece of gum in there.

I worked in the bathroom today…at this time, I quit channeling Amish and began channeling my Mom. “A place for everything and everything in its place.” She and my sisters are constantly nagging me and giving me advice. They have placed some genetic implant in my head so that I hear their voices,

Towels neatly stacked, boxes of different items in plain site but packaged nicely, drawers tidy.

Mom would be so proud.
I miss her.

I got some help from Mike today. The rooms in our house follow the roofline, so when the ceiling fans have to be cleaned, it’s a little dicey. He went and brought a tall ladder which I climbed while he spotted me and tried to grab my butt. No luck there mister. I love looking at the fans tonight. So clean. They were so dirty that when I wiped them goopy dust fell in the floor. Nasty stuff.

Hung a few things in one of the bedrooms.

Remember this guy? $3 from the Salvation Army.

I didn’t want my plate to be lonely so I added this litte miss…

I’m feeling rather smug about the calligraphy, but I haven’t been able to repeat it.

Here’s our two partnered…

I’m just showing you bits and pieces of this room. This room and I are finding our way together. We’re sort of like in-laws at this point. We are together, and we are trying hard to like each other and make it work.

I did so much more today and took pictures.

I’m now channeling someone very sleepy.

I agree about the ceiling fans, I recently turned them back on and reversed direction to circulate heat and the array that arose had the animals scurrying from fear of flying debris…You are inspiring. I have no channels to Amish or organized relatives apparently!

I’ll send the implant that Mom installed in my head so that she can boss you around. You’ll “git ‘er done!” 🙂
